What data we collect

  • Booking data: name, email address, phone number, arrival and departure dates, number of guests, and any special requests you provide.
  • Payment data: we do not store card details. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe or Square). Only a payment reference is retained by us.
  • Contact form data: name, email address, and the content of your message.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically via server logs and cookies.

How we use your data

  • To process and manage your booking and send you booking confirmations.
  • To respond to enquiries submitted via our contact form.
  • To comply with legal obligations (e.g. fire register, financial records).
  • To improve our website and guest experience.

Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of contract (to fulfil your booking), legitimate interests (to operate and improve our business), and legal obligation where required.

How long we keep your data

Booking records are retained for 7 years for accounting and legal purposes. Contact form submissions are deleted after 2 years. You may request earlier deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with:

  • Our payment processor (Stripe / Square) — to process your payment securely.
  • Our email provider — to send booking confirmations to you and notifications to us.

All third-party processors are contractually bound to handle your data in accordance with UK GDPR.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict or object to processing, and data portability.
